OMG...cuban food is alive in Vacaville. Wife suggested Cuba Cafe..been open about 5 months; family run, kids are present. This is a place that deserves everyones love and patronage. Not just because it is family run, but the food was tremendous. My wife got the Ropa Vieja Plato which was so tasty with a nice kick and the plantains were stunning. I had the Pollo Con Frijoles Y Arroz which was so light, so zesty, so flavor driven with all the garlic that i could have eaten another. You must try this place. Owners are friendly and inviting. we will be back soon

Great family business and delectable eats. This was our first time trying. It was so delicious we went back a second time in the same day to get more of their 2.75 Papas Rellenas, meat stuffed potato ball. We ordered 4 initially and went back to share with the rest of the family how delicious they were and ordered a dozen more. The hot chocolate is epic! We also ordered hand fruit pies. Everything was very fresh and made with lots of love

Came here for lunch on a Saturday, and it was so worth it! It's about a 10 min drive from the outlet, but this spot exceeded my expectations. I have been missing Porto's down in SoCal, and the potato balls here have a thinner but crispier crunch that I loved. The ropa vieja (braised shredded beef) was delicious. I've had plantains that were coated heavily with sugar, but this spot doesn't do that - but it was still crispy and delicious. Service was good, and the ambiance was roomy and airy perfect for a meal. Hope to come back in the near future.

Great service, good amount of indoor and outdoor seating, and amazing food. I'm ready to come back for the ropa vieja plato (Cuban beef stew) and papas rellenas (potato balls).

After visiting the Miami, FL area only a couple weeks prior to coming to "Cuba Cafe", I still had the strong urge for some Cuban food cravings. But being back in California, there isn't a whole lot of options. And I was pleasantly surprised to stumble across this place as I was making my way from Sacramento to Napa. Established in 2016, Cuba Cafe is located on the northwest side of Vacaville in a small strip mall at S. Orchard Ave. and W. Monte Vista Ave. They do have limited hours of operation being opened Tuesday through Sunday from 9am to 4pm while being closed for business on Monday. I ended up coming here during the early afternoon of Saturday 4/6/2024 at around 12:15pm. Parking was very easy to find while the business was also simple to identify with large green block lettering. The inside, however is very cheerful, well-lit, and very inviting. The yellowish-green walls brightens up the vibe here. The two LED screens show a very vibrant menu showcasing Cuban breakfast items, pastries, espresso drinks, smoothies, and a bunch of sides. Since I was just looking for some small bites, I ended up ordering (2) "Croquetas" with (1) "Guava & Cheese" pastry and (1) "Cafe Con Leche" (which is espresso & steamed milk); their version of a Cafe Latte. Everything came out to a very reasonable $10 + tax. My Croquetas were ready in just a couple minutes followed by the pastry and my drink a few minutes after that. I will say that having gone to the Little Havana area of Miami, this place definitely gives it a run for its money. I was pleasantly surprised with how delicious and authentic everything tasted. I also spoke with I believe was the owner of the business. Him and the staff were very gracious and accommodating of letting me photograph the inside of the business as I even had a conversation how there just isn't many Cuban spots in California with this being the only one in Vacaville. Great quiet locations, reasonable prices, friendly staff, and delicious food. What's not to like about "Cuba Cafe"? My rating, a unanimous five stars.

Este lugar es una Joya. This place is a jewel homie. First off seems and proud to say that the business is doing good. They came out with key chains, definitely means that they are doing something good. Every time I slide through "Vaca" we end up grabbing a Pastelito, cafecito, or a Cubana. Which I recommend you try the Pastelitos Guava con Queso, Carne and I know they have a third one that I can't recall. Super good full of flavor light and crispy pair that with a cafecito con leche or a Cortado. You'll have a great start to a day. Had the Cubana today super light, toasted smeared with some butter on top of the bread. Look chikas and homies stop by and show them some love. You won't regret it. The service is great very Familia Oriented Business.

Omg I can't believe I didn't know about this place! It's a cute little family owned business with very welcoming staff. The place is clean and has vibrant decor around the restaurant. The food is AMAZING! We ordered two different plates and some coffee. We were not disappointed. These dishes are authentic and have so much flavor packed in them. We devoured it lol. The coffee was amazing as well. It was espresso with steamed milk, sugar and made to perfection. Everything was chefs kiss. I'll definitely be back as they are easily one of my top five favorites now.

My sister and we're heading to a local market, when we passed this restaurant. We stopped and bought a Meat Pie, which was delicious! Not too spicy, but fresh and the dough was extremely flaky! It only cost 2.25.. I have posted pictures of all their offerings! The establishment was super clean and the staff were very friendly.

Vacaville is so lucky to have this place!!! The food is SO GOOD. After the first time I tried this place, I ended up going back 4 days in a row. I'm pretty sure anything you get from here will be good. You won't be disappointed. The first thing I tried was the pan con bistec, the ropa vieja plato and Cuban sandwich. Everything is so flavorful and tastes like a home cooked meal. The ropa vieja plato was my favorite. And the fried plantains are perfection. Get extra of that. The pastries are also amazing. The guava one is my favorite. The options they have are the meat pies, guava, and guava and cheese. Aside from the delicious food, the service is great as well. They are super quick and very friendly. I really love the family friendly vibes they have. I will definitely be coming back here!

I have had this place bookmarked for-ever. I finally dropped on by for a weekend lunch. The counter service cafe is in a neighborhood shopping center in the suburbs across from a fire station. Once I stepped inside the cafe, I felt the welcoming vibes. The owner was talking to old and new customers in Spanish and English. Treating everyone like a new friend. Luv that. The food was pretty darn tasty. I will be honest, I have never been to Cuba. But my taste buds like what they like. And they luved ropa vieja platos (braised beef stew) $16.50 and the papas rellenas (potato balls) 2 for $3. The ropa vieja meat was shredded and flavorful, spiced right packing subtle flavors. I'm gobbled that up. Delicious. The plate was served with conjer (black beans and rice) and fried plantains. Mmm. The plantations were fried to a nice caramelization to the perfect natural sweetness. The potato balls were made of mashed potatoes filled with a ground beef and deep fried to a crisp golden exterior. Those are comfort food for sure. Every culture seems to have a version of potato balls. Theirs did not disappoint. The pastries are all homemade and sell out quickly. The customer in front of me was a regular. She told me all the pastries are home made and are delicious. But after I ate, when I went back inside to buy some pastries. I was slow on the roll, they sold out. The interior is bright, modern, clean, and comfortable. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It is a small quaint place serving up mighty tasty food. I will definitely be back and to try other menu items and will not snooze on the pastries.
